Trader Darwin's Soy Protein Powder is Trader Joe's (supermarket chain) house branded protein powder. The product is filled with lost of good stuff and little junk. Each serving provides 25 grams of protein, about 50% of the recommended daily allowance. In addition, this product contains in excess of 33% daily allowance for most vitamins and minerals.
This product tastes just as good as any of the soy based powders on the market. I particularly like the fact that the taste is not too sweet. In fact the product has little to no sweeteners added and as a result is has zero carbs. I typically use it in fruit smoothies but it could certainly be mixed with milk or even used with baking.
What I like best about the product is the value. A 32 ounce jug of the powder will run you $10 and provides 28 servings which works out to approximately $.35 per serving. You will pay at least double for name brand protein powder and its not any better.
Only downside to this stuff is it can be a bit chalky depending what its mixed with. But no more so than other soy based products on the market.
This protein powder is a great way to cost effectively get your daily allowance of protein and 20 other vitamins and minerals.
