Ecco has been making wonderful, long-lasting, shoes for quite some time now and perhaps their very best product is the Ecco Century Slip On for men. Like all Ecco shoes, they are built to last (I had another pair of Eccos that I must have worn 1000 times before the sole gave out). I have owned the Century Slip on for about nine months and the shoe hardly looks worn.
But durability is only really important if the shoe is comfortable so you'll want to wear it a thousand times. Comfort is where Ecco is at its best, I can't imagine a more comfortable shoe. So then we get to the looks department, I have never owned a pair of shoes that have received so many compliments from both men and woman. I wear the Century Slip On primarily for business, but have noticed the shoes pairs equally well with slacks and jeans... go figure but I have received numerous complements in both scenarios.
I suspect much of the shoes versatility has to do with color matching and styling. As for color, the Cognac shade used on with the Century is just dynamite and goes well with tan, brown khaki and every shade of blue... please steet clear of black and grey slacks. Then with respect for styling Ecco seems to have a nice way of blending classic conservative styles with a contempary flair. For example in this case you have a classic color and slip on with a more contemporary squared toe. Most importantly the shoe works. If you are looking for a comfortable, slightly dressy shoe that will last a long time, look no further than Ecco's Century Slip On.
