Simply put this is an amazing film on so many different levels. To begin the film is part story, part documentary, part fun and very educational. As a result of this film working on so many levels, Bonne Pioche in conjunction with the folks from Warner Brothers and National Geographic have created a film that will be enjoyed by all audiences. For starters, small kids and animal lovers will watch the penguins perform their natural behaviors over and over again. Academics will watch the film to better understand the species unique socialization. But the fact that this film appeals to such a wide range of audiences who will enjoy watching the movie over and over, makes it a great DVD for your collection.
The films story and stars (the penguins) are nicely complemented by Morgan Freeman's outstanding narration. While the narration fills your ears, the breathtaking scenery fills your eyes. This film is a just a great experience.
Other things that are great about the DVD are the bonus cartoon 8 Ball Bunny and a trailer for Happy Feet. It does not get much better than that.
