While I do not profess to be an expert in all things hair care, Pantene Pro-V works well for me. I'm on my second 40 ounce jug of this stuff from Costco and have been quite satisfied. My hair tends more toward dry than oily and with other shampoos, I am frequently in need of hair conditioner. This has not been my experience with Pantene. It would seem as if the vitamin complex (panthenol) and amino proteins (lysine HCI and methyl tyrosinate HCI) provide enough rejuvenation and hydration to reduce the need for conditioner. Perhaps more importantly and less technically the stuff smells good. Pantene is one of Procter & Gamble's highest end brands and they seem to be doing a very solid job of making sure the quality of the Pantene products is in line with that brand. I'm convinced.
Pantene Pro-V Shampoo Rating:
I've been using Pantene Pro-V shampoo for more years than I can remember. When other shampoos have made my hair heavy and blah, or frizzy and uncontrollable, Pantene Pro-V has consistently found the right middle ground.
I don't do anything to my hair except put in conditioner. So that means, no coloring, perm, streaking, or other hair products. Heck most of the time I don't even use a blow dryer. For lazy people like me this shampoo works great. I have found that there is a little build up, so I switch off between this shampoo and others. Besides my hair dresser told me years ago I should so, well, I do.
I also use the conditioner associated with Pantene and it works great too. If you're looking for a great overall shampoo, this is definitely it.
