Badger's New House is an amazing children's book that I recently discovered during a trip to my local library. The books wonderfully humorous story is nicely complemented by some fine illustrations. Frequently writers and artists will collaborate to create such books. But in this case writer and artist Robin Muller has done a fine job of showcasing his many talents. Thanks Robin!
What's particularly nice about this story is that it reinforces many familiar themes in new and funny ways. Readers will certainly learn the lesson that there is no place like home. Additionally we learn the value of friendships and being helpful. Finally we learn that its good to challenge ourselves and try new things. And yes this book has a very happy ending.
This book was written in 2002 by Canadian author Robin Muller. Robin seems to be a well known author in Canada having won multiple awards for his children's books. Unfortunately I have not seen this or other writings in US bookstores, but hope to find others. If you are reading this review and know of other Muller works, please add them to this site.
If you are looking for a new book for you kids age 2.5+, give Badger's New House a try.
