The Sonicare seems to clean your teeth well, but if you have an Oral-B it's probably ok, but not quite as good. If you're using a regular toothbrush, switching will definitely help. My dentist noticed that my teeth were in much better shape after moving to the Oral-B. The Sonicare seems to clean a little bit better, and it has a much longer lasting battery. It seems that the battery will last around 2 weeks between charges. This is great for travel.
I bought this toothbrush at Costco for around $90. The package comes with two powered handles, three brushes, a brush holder and a travel case. The brushes include a big and small head toothbrush. I need a small head to clean my wisdom teeth, but my husband prefers the large brush. Perfect.
It takes a little while to get used to the toothbrush. It really vibrates. I wondered if I'd ever get used to it, but it only took a week or two, and now I don't notice at all. The level of vibration can be reduced, until you get used to it. The toothbrush also has a nice feature that it gives a little signal every 30 seconds to switch quadrants. That avoids uneven brushing.
It also comes with a little carrying case, but I haven't really needed it. I have noticed that recharging takes quite a bit longer than the Oral-B.
