Dale of Norway sweaters are as good as any owners tells you they are and better. I have had mine for close to 5 years and it shows NO sign of wear and tear. Plus these sweaters always look great and never go out of style. The wool used to make Dale sweaters is as soft as wool gets. What really impresses me is just how tight the stitching in on these sweaters. The fabric is so tight is would be really difficult to pull. The quality does not stop there. The zippers used by Dale and other technical features like waist draw strings and fleece neck lining are all top of the line. My particular sweater is from their Sport line and includes a wind proof lining. The lining works great and my particular garment can easily double as a coat in weather in the mid-thirties. All this quality does come at a price. First the sweaters are not light weight as they use a lot of wool. But if you are garment weight conscious go buy another fleece. Also these sweaters are expensive and are rarely discounted. At the same time, the sweater will last forever. As for sizing please note that these sweaters tend to run big.

Wool is of course heavier then an ultralight,but it is always stylish.
Wool is better even if wet, but this is teflon impregated, a cleaning followed by a warm iron and it is ready.

It is also 10X more durable then synthetic, better for the envirornment and very warm compared to synthetics, plus it is made in the EU,
